Celebrating Women's Small Business Month

Dr. Melanie Crites-Bachert, DO, founder, CEO of Resolute 360 and 360 Pelvic Health Institute.

October is Women’s Small Business Month, which makes it the ideal time for Old Glory Bank to highlight female entrepreneurs we are proud to call business banking customers.

Dr. Melanie Crites-Bachert, DO, is a board-certified urologist and the founder and CEO of Resolute 360 and 360 Pelvic Health Institute.

Canceled by her bank.

You wouldn’t think a company specializing in bringing world-class healthcare to rural areas suffering from inadequate access to care would be controversial. But their bank did.

Just as Dr. Melanie Crites-Bachert was getting Resolute 360 and the 360 Pelvic Health Institute off the ground, her bank decided it didn’t like her politics and canceled her business accounts out of the blue.

A few years ago, that would have been devastating. But, as Dr Crites-Bachert explains, “It was just as we were starting. But fortunately for us, it was just as Old Glory Bank was launching. It was a natural transition to a bank that will never cancel us for our beliefs and practices.”

Amen to that.

Being treated like a VIP.

Resolute 360 is a healthcare technology consulting company born out of years of honing healthcare delivery and efficiency. They help healthcare entities reach their service line goals by using technology to maximize patient care, increase efficiency in delivering that care, and increase ROI.

Dr. Crites-Bachert praises the professionalism and personal attention the business banking team at Old Glory Bank gives her. “I’m always made to feel like I’m a VIP,” she adds.

That’s what we would call a healthy relationship.

A healthier economy.

Small businesses are the lifeblood of a community, and women-owned small businesses benefit their local communities in so many ways. They’re more likely to support local organizations and schools and provide jobs and economic boosts that keep local economies thriving.

So, here’s to all women in business. They make our economy healthier.
