Branches are for trees, not for banks.

Financial institutions are shutting down branches throughout the U.S. to streamline operations and consolidate services.

In the second quarter of this year, both U.S. Bank and Chase reported closing 48 and 28 branches, respectively. Bank of America is set to close 25 locations by the end of 2024.

In the wake of the closing of many branches due to COVID-19, many customers were forced to adapt to online banking to access their money and financial services.  Now, those same customers have embraced online banking as they increasingly enjoy the convenience of mobile platforms.

With online banking dominating the financial scene, banks that maintain a substantial brick-and-mortar presence are being forced to reassess how they provide their services.  Old Glory Bank is holding firm to its founding principles of providing secure and reliable mobile banking services to customers across the nation as major financial institutions are reducing their offerings by closing branches.

From its founding, Old Glory has focused on meeting customers’ needs wherever they are located through our online and mobile banking platforms. Mobile banking allows customers to take advantage of an array of financial services in the time and place most convenient for them without having to rely on a brick-and-mortar location.

While Americans whose local branches have not yet closed are waiting in lines at their bank, Old Glory Bank’s customers are being helped by our Oklahoma-based customer service agents. Old Glory’s mobile banking features make it easier than ever before to enjoy the personalized experience of a community bank with the advanced technology of a national financial institution.
